Hereby an overview about the works I made in 2006 for the series "Brave new old Worlds"
The works are collected images, plucked from a very recent actuality,
That of the 21st century.
They are highly topical, but also very old. In terms of content, they can be placed 200 years ago, with Goya.
The comparison is compelling and frightening. What has mankind learned from the past?
What has man learnt from the past? To what extent has he evolved? Is he at all capable of becoming
Is he able at all to become 'human', as Nietsche calls it? Or does he always lapse back into the animal if the circumstances are present. These images are testimonies to this.
We can ask ourselves the question whether mankind will only be able to realise his humanity through scientific.
