MY HANDS 01

Yes, hand pain often goes away, especially with rest and home care like RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), but it depends on the cause; minor issues can resolve in days or weeks, but if pain is severe, sudden, limits movement, or shows signs of infection (redness, pus, fever), see a doctor, as conditions like arthritis, nerve issues, or significant injuries need professional treatment, therapy, or medication.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a condition in which the median nerve in the wrist becomes trapped in the carpal tunnel, leading to tingling, numbness, pain and sometimes loss of strength in the thumb, index finger, middle finger and ring finger. It is caused by pressure on the nerve due to swelling of the tendon sheaths, which can be caused by repetitive movements, fluid retention (pregnancy), diabetes, rheumatism, or a wrist fracture. Treatment varies from rest and physiotherapy to medication, splinting and, in severe cases, surgery to relieve the pressure.

The hand burns and causes pain, of course.

If you work with your hands a lot, you will eventually experience discomfort and pain. If you work with your hands a lot, you will eventually experience discomfort and pain. Warm hands and/or feet, sometimes combined with a burning sensation, can occur as a standalone complaint. Often it is not a skin disease but a disorder in the vascularisation or innervation of the extremities, caused by neuropathy or other causes.
